3.5 Inch Poster
Our old friends, floppy disks or diskettes
This set of posters is about our old friends, the 3.5" floppy disks. Higher density drives are designed to read, write and even format lower density media without problems, provided the correct media is used for the selected density. This poster shows how many floppies are sufficient for current software. Result (approximate) 46 discs for iTunes 8, 2358 discs for Adobe Photoshop CS 4, 1760 discs for The Sims 3, 12 discs for Firefox 3 and 36 discs for Firefox add-ons. I think if we had to install Photoshop from floppy discs or play Sims today, we might give up before halfway through.
